The government is speaking out against PTI’s actions after some chats with an Indian reporter.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Shar, and his team ramped up their criticism of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). They that a leaked conversation between PTI leader Rauf Hasan and journalist Kiran Thapar has revealed an anti-national agenda.

Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar took to the media. He condemned the PTI for its supposed connections with people from other countries. These connections, he argues, show a larger plan to harm Pakistan's unity.

In his recent statement, Minister Tarar claimed PTI is indulging in activities that are not good for the nation. He pointed out how Hasan’s talks with Thapar contained messages meant to stir trouble in Pakistan.

Tarar said these new findings match up with how PTI usually interacts with forces working against Pakistan. It seems that their agenda focuses more on foreign interests than on what’s good for the country.

Tarar mentioned that Hasan’s chats about Pakistan's military and foreign policy sparked criticisms—suggesting there might be an intention to create division at home. In the messages that got leaked, Hasan even praised India’s views on global matters, while putting down Pakistan’s position. Tarar insists this shows how PTI is pushing narratives that help other countries and hurt Pakistan's stability.

Also weighing in on this matter was Senator Talal Chaudhry from the Pakistan Muslim League (N). He suggested that these interactions with anti-Pakistan journalists aim to weaken the country. He expressed concerns about accountability within our influential institutions and political parties. Chaudhry noted that these kinds of leaks are crucial for national security & stability, underlining the need for clear self-regulation.

This whole situation involves several significant conversations. On November 19, 2022, Hasan reached out to Thapar about interviewing PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi through WhatsApp. In their chat, they discussed sensitive issues like Pakistan's military and foreign policy. Hasan is accused of questioning Pakistani sources’ credibility while supporting India’s stance on international topics.

In March 2023, Hasan reportedly sent messages to Thapar claiming that arrests of PTI members were examples of state violence and hinted that Pakistan was heading towards a bloody revolution.
