During the conversation, Bream presented a new poll. One poll for the Washington Post and ABC found Harris leading by four to five points nationally. Bream noted that these numbers did not match what Vance was saying.

But Vance was having none of it. Polling data often only reflect the status quo — or a steady state, he said. And Davis even brought up that ABC had gotten it wrong in polling back in 2020. "No need to worry," he said. Trump’s campaign is doing perfectly OK by Vance.

He also noted that in previous elections, media reports effectively split Republican voters—at times rigging the election. What do you think? Is there any truth to that?
